Application Development Team

 
 
The purpose and goal of the Application Development Team is to provide MITA members with opportunities to practice their class-taught development skills in a practical environment. Each semester team members will gain experience working on teams with other developers, coding from scratch and manipulating the code of others, and implementing applications and webpages. Students who work as team leaders will also gain valuable project leadership and management experience.

 

Positions:

Developer Team Members

Team members will be responsible for completing all of the work required to meet the project goals and objectives. Strict adherence to our coding standards, as taught in the Intro to Programming classes at Madison College, is expected. Team members report directly to their Team Leaders for work assignments and assistance in completing tasks.

General skills required for all developer levels include, but are not limited to:

Team Members will be additionally broken down into three levels:

Developer Team Member - Level I

Specific skills required to successfully perform this role include, but are not limited to:

Developer Team Member - Level II

Specific skills required to successfully perform this role include, but are not limited to, all skills required for the Level I developer position, plus:

Developer Team Member - Level III

Skills required to successfully perform this role include, but are not limited to, all skills required for the Level 2 developer position, plus:

 

Project Coordinator

The individual that occupies the position of the Project Coordinator will also fill the MITA Officer position of Vice President of Application Development and report directly to the president.
